Ah, you point out the relevance was only due to me being the lucky minority -- hit amidst a scatter shot. That jives, because it was one of the only truly relevant content promotion I can remember receiving -- after several years on the iTunes service. The stuff they send to me tends to be very mass. Mass marketing often doesn't t work on me, because I'm a unique person with very discriminating and niche choices regarding what I listen to.

Re: Apple Finally Emailed Me A Relevant iTunes Promotion

If only Apple was 10% as smart than anyone else! I received that "relevant" email too, although I am not a parent and never listened, downloaded or even searched any podcast about parenting. Maybe it's my age. Maybe it's the voice of my conscience, Apple giving me a life tip! Anyway, I am still desperate about how iTunes sucks at behavioral targeting. They know everything I hear, everything I buy from them, and still they send me those lame newsletter with country music, hip hop and other mainstream artists. Steve Jobs still needs to read the Long Tail.
