I think that multiple usernames in social media will be the new link buying. But thankfully, because of the reasons you wrote, people won't be able to d it without doing it well.

I don't think blogs that exist for the sole purpose of SEO will be like the
paid links of the future. In the long run, I think they will be shunned upon
and ultimately cause brand damage -- in most cases. Similar to mindless
advertising that shouts at people.
