    I know of a few poster children like this in social media. In all cases, I'd guess they mistakenly believe their reputation is growing in a positive direction ("what a great networker!") when in reality it's just the opposite.

    When it comes to social networking, if we don't want to end up like this person who “…nobody knows anything of substance about him. This person doesn’t seem to offer much value…” we have to remember that content is key!
